The Property and Facilities Manager has responsibility for the leadership of the Maintenance team, coordination and oversight of relevant contractors, maintaining Essential Services ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory and statutory responsibilities. The Property and Facilities Manager will work closely with the Business Manager to provide project management and ensure alignment of grounds, building and property development works with the College’s Master Plan. This is a full-time position.ABOUT YOUWe are looking for candidates who will embrace our College values, are passionate about Christian education and authentic, with a personal warmth that engenders mutual respect and builds commitment to the College.The following are the key selection criteria for this role:Demonstrated capacity to oversee the implementation of the College Master Plan.Minimum of 7-10 years' experience primarily in building construction, as well as facility and maintenance management, or a related field, with demonstrable success in managing diverse teams and delivery of capital projects.Strong knowledge of building systems, including mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.Experience managing budgets, contracts and accounting systems.Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications.Experience with construction project management software and tools.Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Excel.Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, building codes and safety standards and permits.Previous experience in an educational setting would be highly regarded.Possess a strong capacity for team building and priority managementHave a qualification in Technical Trades (Carpentry or similar).Be a multi-skilled handyman with competence to manage, supervise, and actively engage in hands on repair and maintenance work on a regular basis.Pre-requisites:Working With Children CheckActive involvement in a Christian churchCalm, friendly, and pleasant demeanorAbility to interact well with children.
